2006 Ford Five Hundred SE review from North America
"My Worst Nightmare"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Brakes were defective and had to be replaced twice because the car violently shook when brakes were applied.
Carpets tore for no reason and had to be replaced.
Engine has a loud knock.
Heating and cooling unit makes strange noise under the dash.
Power window on driver's door goes backwards.
Tires knock against tire guards over small bumps.
Takes too long to start.
Wipers had to be replaced 3 x because they tore.
General comments?
I have only had the car for one month (but I am at 8K) and am not impressed with all the things that have gone wrong. The dealer offers little help. My advice to people is to buy Japanese, Korean, or GM because Ford has hit rock bottom, this car should not have come to the marketplace.
