2006 Ford Five Hundred SEL AWD review from North America
"Please Ford, add some more horsepower to these very nice and very roomy cars!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing!!!
General comments?
I had traded my 2001 Chevrolet Impala in for the 2006 Five Hundred SEL with all wheel drive. Mine is a shiny black color with a grey leather interior.
A good friend of mine has one, and encouraged me to trade my Impala in for it, and I did just that. At first, I was hesitant about the Five Hundred at first, but when I test drove a Five Hundred SEL like mine, that is when I picked out the color, and I got a black one.
It is quite roomy for its size. The trunk is huge!! What it does need big time, is some more horsepower. My beige Impala was pretty quick, but not overly quick. The Five Hundred could definitely use a good 30 or more horsepower added to what it has now.
Grant you that this a very good car, but I definitely wish that Ford would add some more horsepower to this car. If so, this car would definitely sell way better than it is now. On the other hand, I strongly recommend this car if you are in the market for a roomy and a safe family sedan.
