2005 Ford Focus ST review from North America
"A modern day sleeper that gets 30 mpg and is very practical"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing.
General comments?
The 2.3 liter is a very strong engine, getting rid of the "lifetime" air filter and replacing it with a good, cleanable cone filter, makes a HUGE difference in the way it runs. most people don't have any clue what this engine of capable of.
It has a very random long crank, then start issue that seems to be unresolvable, but it has never refused to start.
It handles very well in the summer and the winter, it got me the thru the worse storm of the year with out hardly an issue.
Have taken several long rides from CT to NH and has always been pleasingly comfortable on the trips.
