2001 Ford Focus SE Wagon review from North America
"Could be better"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Fuel Pump recalled. Died while on road trip.
Tie rod end replaced due to loud noise.
Parking brake keeps binding and ate brake shoe like cheese cake, rear bearing replace twice,
dome light switch broke,
DPFE sensor due to rattle in constant speed,
trunk support very weak,
rear driver side power window assembly replaced due to glass dropped into the door panel.
General comments?
It's very comfortable little car with big room. There are not many selections in this price range with the combination of station and manual transmission. so I picked focus wagon. it has been good in general, but too unreliable with many problems.
The parking brake has cost me the most trouble and money to fix. it's good for a couple month after fix then it starts to bind the rear brake.
I still like station wagon, but I'll go with Subaru in the future which it offers 4wd and better reliability.
