The car had a lot of problems with the electricals (eg. power windows, sensor lamps going on and off) etc. The authorized service dealer, kept telling me that it is the manufacturer's job to fix it, and he could do nothing about it.
In general, I am really surprised, how people buy these vehicles...
I agree with the comments about the electrical gremlins! My car was a 2002 1.6 ghia, supplied new by the AA driving school. After 8,000 miles, the driver's seat lumbar adjustment ceased to be and both nearside electric windows snuffed it; or, more correctly, chose to work for about ten minutes a day. Then, they decided to pack up altogether with the windows halfway open, knowing full well that it would rain that night... The performance is a bit disappointing - it seems (as with most modern cars) that the electronic emission control gizmos (probably designed by some bearded lentil munchers) won't allow you to pollute the atmosphere if you press the gas pedal too much, so the car decides to slow down instead. By comparison, my 1992 90,000 mile Fiesta 1100 does exactly what your right foot tells it to do without complaining. I guess it's what they call progress!
