2002 Ford Focus CL review from UK and Ireland
"Uninspiring grey porridge"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Seems to have an appetite for front tires, due to power steering maybe? wear is even.
General comments?
Had a 1400 zetec, too underpowered for size of car, fine up to 50 or so, but on motorway in fifth pushing the accelerator has little effect for quite some time. previous 1.6 escort was far superior.
It handled very well and good fuel economy.
Seats too thinly padded like a park bench.
A thoroughly mediocre car with little to recomend it over numerous other makes.
Luckily it wasnt my money that bought it (leased) I could think of more exciting ways to spend 10 grand.
Fine for under achieving reps, but if its your own money go elsewhere.
