2000 Ford Focus LX from North America - Comments

Where to begin. I bought this car/lemon two years ago off a lot and in two years I had to replace the two front springs because they broke off, not being told when I bought the new springs from the dealer that they were covered under a 10 year warranty... when I asked for a refund, they refused. Very Poor Customer Service!!! Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, the ignition locked up. The key would no longer turn. When I contacted the dealer they knew it was a problem, but didn't want to acknowledge any customer service there either. Right now I am on my second ignition which is also stripped. YEAH!!! I cannot take the key out of the ignition, but have to keep it covered with a scarf to not draw attention to that fact, in case in might get stolen (with any luck). The front end is shaky and I am hearing knocks from the front wheels. The pads and rotors had to be replaced within a 2 month period. Not to forget to mention that the front brakes make noise. I had to replace the 4 wheel bearings and now another one is gone again... all this mentioned above within a one year period. F**kin EH!!! Gotta luv this lemon. The front floor pools up with water. No hole found, so whats up with that. The back door hinges have been replaced due to call back, but are very squeaky even when WD-40'ed...Doesn't help it. Sometimes the front end has a mind of it own... could be driving straight then it swerves off to one side. The C-pillar is constantly falling off. The front struts have been replaced twice already. The fuel pump had to be replaced due to call back. The gears sometimes jerk and rev high. Honestly, I'm just getting sick of maintaining this car and nothing lasting even remotely long enough to consider it a break. I HATE THIS CAR. It is the biggest piece of lemon out there and I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS CAR TO ANYONE. With all the call backs this car has, I think the whole car should be called back. Never again will I purchase a car from that manufacturer. That pretty much sums it all up.

I've had an integra and no problem whatsoever (except the fact it got stolen this summer)

Now I need a replacement to get me to school and work...

Would you even recommend one with low kms for a good price? or is it complete hunk-of-junk.

^ I would just buy another Integra. I have a 2000 Ford Focus, that I got for FREE, as a hand-me-down. And I desperately want a different car.
