2007 Ford Focus SES review from North America
"So much fun to drive"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Flawless performance thus far.
General comments?
The 2007 Focus is a great car. It has handling and pep, all at a great value for a proven platform.
The recent redesign of the interior especially with the side bolstering of seats with side-airbags make for a great driving experience. The SES has a 6-CD Sony sound system with steering wheel controls. The A/C is plentiful and the other controls are laid out well. Interior materials are of good quality and the fit and finish reflect quality.
Performance is exceptional for the small 2.0 liter power plant. A bit of a slow starter because of low-end torque, the acceleration from 20-50 mph is brisk with the automatic. Shifting is firm and the car handles graciously at speed. On the highway, it is exceptionally quiet.
The SES ZX3 has a sharp appearance package available that gives the car more of the recent SVT and current European Rallye Sport look. We lowered the car and often get compliments on the Focus.
We researched vehicles and test drove the competitors... in the US, the Focus really has no rival in its class.
