2007 Ford Fusion SE review from North America
"The Car That Will Save Ford"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing, it's brand new.
General comments?
I hope this is the car that will save Ford. I've had mine for just about a week now and have made two long distance trips already and it has been amazing. I ordered a red SE model with the sport appearance group so it has the 17inch wheels as opposed to the 16's, and red stitching in the seats. The car has a smooth ride, downright excellent handling, and good power and gas mileage. It is also exceptionally quiet and free of vibration which is unusual for a four cylinder car. The car is faster than my Mom's 06 explorer with the V-6 and still gets awesome gas mileage. My first 100 miles of pure stop and go city traffic yielded me 23mpg and when I got it on the highway traveling at speeds of 80-85mph, I was getting 29mpg. I cannot wait until the engine breaks in more so I can see what it can really do. The interior is well put together, but my single complaint is that headroom is lacking for those over six feet tall. The stock six speaker radio has more power than anything I have heard from the factory. I hope to put a few hundred more miles on it in the upcoming weeks and will keep an update as more miles are put on.
