2001 Ford Ka Luxury review from UK and Ireland
"Great town car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
There was a small rattle around the stereo which was fixed very easily.
The wiper switch developed a small fault in that it wouldn't do the single wipe without pushing it into full wipe mode and off again.
Other than that, perfection.
General comments?
The Ka is so much fun in the city, but take it out onto the open road and the noisy engine and lack of interior space is fustrating.
Despite being down on power, the low down torque is so good that pulling away from junctions is very easy and worry free.
The car is very easy to drive and park too.
It was difficult to get comfortable if you're a 5'10" average male like myself. My wife, who's only 5'4" found it just fine.
The leather seats, cd player, quickclear windscreen and air-con made this a feel good Ka too, not just an urban runabout.
