2000 Ford Ka Collection review from UK and Ireland

Track rod Ends regulary, it now lives in Malta where the moon surface is smoother so don't mind cost of track rod ends.. Nothhing Else has failed except service items.

I read with interest the postings of peoples expectations and the failings or not of all cars on this forum. I have had my KA for over 4 years and it is fantastic and I see the disappointment others have and wonder why people don't understand one simple thing.. Due to manufacturing tolerances all cars will vary.. I have hired KAs many times when on holiday in the UK/Spain and Even Italy and all of them seem to vary.

Mine is VERY VERY VERY good its quieter than others more refined and seems to be built first class.. Sadly not all are the same. Mine is a good one, some will be bad and some so so and others will be good. Ford cut corners for reasons of cost and make the tolerances bigger so the variation will be greater. Out of the factory failure will be less, but long term lasting will suffer.. My advice is, if you get a good car Keep it like I have, if not pass it on. It will die one day sooner than it should and it will lose money quicker than a good one. It will last last less and cost more to run.. This is called commercial obsolescence, and it how ford survive and why rolls royce cost so much.. Luck is removed with Rolls Royce, but at a cost.. Ford let you discover the tolerances of parts by failure of them,

hence they cost less to buy as they waste less when they built them and they make them faster ..My KA is one in a million ..I am lucky, look for that one and you will be over the moon this car is fantastic if you get a good one, if not sell it and try again its worth it. If all thing were the same all mechanincal watches would keep perfect time but all mechanical watches vary .. cars are just the same only we drive them and expect perefection. It will never happen all cars have good and bad .. search for the good one.
