2009 Ford Mondeo Titanium X review from UK and Ireland

No problems.

Pros:

Cabin in the Titanium X is well built, everything fits together nicely and works well, certainly comparable to my previous Audi.

Integrated Satnav/bluetooth phone is the best system I have ever used. You can either use the large touchscreen or the steering wheel mounted controllers and the central Convers+ display.

With IVDC, the car seems to be even more comfortable that I remember the test cars (a Titanium X sport and a Titanium X on 17" alloys), with the IVDC set to comfort you barely notice any road imperfections, with it set to 'sport' you can throw the car around with confidence.

Keyless entry / starting has worked without fault (unlike some owners) - it's great to just walk up to the car pull the handle get in press the start button and drive off. On the Titanium X the power folding mirrors now fold away when the car is locked, so it is easy to tell from afar if the car is locked or not.

I have had no problem with water from the tailgate (Ford have changed the design of the drainage on the tailgate recently) or water obscuring the wing mirrors (may they have changed something in this area as well).

After 1000 miles the engine is starting to loosen up and the performance seems to be getting better and better, although the engine needs to be kept up to speed (2000rpm+) for best response. My previous Audi 2.7 V6 TDI would pull like a train from about 1200rpm!

Cons:

Whilst the drivers seat is very comfortable and highly adjustable (8 way electric seat plus lumbar support), I find that it does not quite go low enough for my liking.
