1993 Ford Mondeo GLX review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Electric window regulator failed;
Front suspension arm needed replacing;
Wheel caps have a tendency to break and go AWOL;
B-pillar interior trim fell off;
Two plastic ventilation direction controls have broken (no force necessary!);
Exponentially increasing number of rattles.
General comments?
My first Ford, and although there have been a few niggles (the window failed at the Dartford Tunnel 80 miles from home on a very wet day) they have been relatively minor: the Mondeo has been extremely reliable. After owning an Alfa 33 beforehand the joy of getting into a car and knowing that it will start, immediately, whatever the weather, is a wondrous thing indeed!
