1994 Ford Mondeo LX Estate review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I've had the car for less than 2 years.
Three (!!) starter motors.
Gearbox seal leaked oil into clutch, so new seals and new clutch.
Radiator pipes corroded so overheated engine and new timing belt.
New battery needed.
Arm to wheel split meaning driving effectively on three wheels for a while.
Shock absorbers needed replacing.
Various exhaust bits and pieces.
HT leads needed replacing after recent misfiring.
Passenger seat needed refixed.
Rear wash wipe tube broken inside roof trim.
General comments?
Going by other comments we seem to have been very unlucky with this car which is a great pity as Mondeos are good to drive (especially with a working clutch and all 4 wheels attached to the car!). The road handling and cornering are fine.
