Good performer. Comfortable in front but rear seat very benchlike for rear seat passengers. Well designed but let down by niggly omissions such as: Why is the rear seatback split but not the cushion?
Spec poor - should really have such things as electric mirrors.
Does most things well enough but hard to get enthusiastic about it - lacks character.
Ford have just knocked £3-4K off all UK Mondeo prices which means mine will be worth threepence at trade-in time. As a private buyer these things happen at Ford too often to be affordable.
Who writes these reports? How do you know they are genuine - either good or bad ones?

The reviews are submitted anonymously by visitors to the site. Fake reviews (if they are obvious) are deleted, but there will always be some reviews which are not true. However, I believe the overwhelming majority are truthful. The answer is to read multiple reviews for each model and look for comments common to many reviews.

I'm looking to buy a new family car and despite every magazine and his dog giving the new mondeo its car of the year award my money will be going on the vw passat because I know it will be worth at least 3 grand more after 3 years despite costing exactly the same. I think the trick with ford is to get at least 20 per cent off the list price, local papers are the best source of pre registered scoop bargains and you can often find a quarter off the list price which would take into account the extra depreciation associated with ford over brands such as vw. if theres no deals about car supermarkets are full of 6 month old fords disposed of by hire fleets. they are all sub 10k miles, as new vehicles will history and the savings are unbelievable, I've just seen 2.0 mondeo zetecs 6 months old for 7.5k almost half the new list price.
