2001 Ford Mondeo Ghia review from UK and Ireland
"Loverly car, but unreliable mechanics"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
At 86200 miles the butterfly valve failed apparently this has had to be modified because of this problem leaving second hand buyers with the bill to replace, this item is on the 2 ltr Durotec I don't know if this is also a problem on the zetec? Causes engine to hunt and ticking noise from manifold.
Also problem with flywheel any one else having these problems?
General comments?
Other than mechanical problems lovley car, but if the engine is not running well or lasting to a reasonable mileage it looks nice on the drive, but that's were its spending most of the time.
Main ford dealer in Goole has been helpful, but not ford.
My mark 2 Mondeo was more reliable that had completed 130,000 miles.
