1994 Ford Mondeo GLX review from UK and Ireland
"A "drive and forget" car. dull, dull, dull"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Absolutely nothing. it's a bit snatchy when you back off the throttle, but I can live with that.
General comments?
Probably the most boring dull car in the universe. easy to lose in a carpark and hard to care about. everything is so annoyingly "adequate".
Handling is good up until the front end starts to break away, also surprisingly torquey for a 4 cylinder, economy not bad for a 2 litre around 35mpg.
Boy is that engine thrashy and vocal though, really noisy.
In fairness is was designed as a fleet car so was never meant to be anything special. lucky, because its not.
Considering the 160,000 on the clock it has aged very well with hardly any signs of wear, its just so boring though!
