The car was delivered with a chip on the windscreen which wasn't there on the testdrive and the brake discs were warped on the front and needed to be replaced (though I still find them snatchy).
The supplying dealer has been superb and they paid my excess to get the screen replaced and also arranged to have the brakes done under warranty.
The aircon does smell a bit after use and 2nd is a bit notchy when cold.
This is my first Ford and overall I am very impressed.
The car is economical (engine is the 1.8 Zetec) and is responsive and keen.
The handling is superb and the car can be thrown into bends without any complaints.
I would definitely buy another Mondeo - it is excellent value for money.
And I think £110 is very good value for a main service from a Ford Dealer.
Keep an eye on the brakes because you will have to replace them more often than on other cars. Ford can't make good brake discs!!!!!!
Brake discs don't last on many cars these days. This is due to no asbestos in the pads. There is also more black dust on the wheels (cast iron disk material?), Some discs last 2 pad changes and are then below limits. That said, new Mondeo Ford disks are $70.00 per pair (pads are £35.00 also from Ford). I remember buying other manufacturer discs 10-15 years ago at much dearer prices.
