1994 Ford Mondeo GLX review from UK and Ireland
"A damn good workhorse, much better than the Sierra and would definitely have another"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Very little, got an RAC warranty when purchased and this covered a new radiator damaged by stone and a starter motor.
Also the car alarm would go off without any reason so I replaced the unit.
Recently fitted a new radio.
Apart from that it's been an excellent motor. I've always looked after my cars and regularly changed the oil every 6 months. This way I have had no engine related problems. I reckon the car would go to at least 200,000 without any major problems, it still purrs along. Most of my mileage is motorway, on average 550 per week.
General comments?
Can be uncomfortable on the thighs on long journeys, could do with a little more torque at lower end revs.
Body has remained in good nick over the time I've had it.
Carpets are begining to wear on driver's side.
