1996 Ford Mustang Coupe review from North America
"A reliable sports car for everyday driving"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Power steering pump went at 110,000 miles.
At one time I thought I needed brakes, but it turned out it just needed adjustment, which the mechanic did for no cost, and said that the brakes have a lot more life left.
General comments?
This Mustang has a sunroof, leather steering wheel, and is fully loaded with options. It looks just like a Cobra without the V8 engine. I'm glad that it runs on regular gas and gets 30 mpg, because I mostly drive on the Interstates.
The pickup and the brakes are very responsive, and it handles well too. However in wet weather it's not the best, but is satisfactory.
It rides quiet and smooth, and the instrument controls are very well organized.
I'm 6'2 and my weight is about 250 pounds. I still fit very comfortable in the drivers seat.
This car is perfect for highway driving, which I have been doing for about a year and a half now, and this car still holds up very well.
This car is very competitive to the 300zx and the Supra; I have been in both those cars, and they are very uncomfortable.
