1997 Ford Mustang LX review from North America
"A beautiful car with hideous reliability"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have experienced oil leaks and window leaks in the quarter glass.
Broken interior parts (not my fault, I detail cars).
Two factory compact disk players broke.
Parking brake malfunctions and a bad throw out bearing on the clutch.
The windshield wiper switch malfunctions and the air conditioning noise is too loud.
Currently, my speedometer does not work, nor does my power driver's seat.
General comments?
My 1997 Ford Mustang started out as a very powerful car with lots of torque thrust through every gear.
However, the car is now starting to show it's age and as much as I love the body style, the way it drove when it was new, and the overall ergonomics, I cannot recommend this car or any other Ford to potential buyers.
