"Still a muscle car, just in a lighter weight category I LOVE THIS CAR"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The only problem I had with my car was a motor in the window that raised it up and down would periodically get stuck. I took it to the dealer and they fixed it with no charge and no hassle. I had no other problems.

General comments?

Acceleration wonderful, pushed even in 1st and 2nd gears, where most cars wouldn't respond until higher RPM's and higher gears, not that it was the quickest car.

Be careful in the rain car is unproportioned and not necessarily safe in the rain unless you spend $800 on tires and drive in the slow lane.

I wish the driver's seat was a little more comfy.

it really cost me on gas

i must say, maybe it takes someone who is truly devoted to an American classis to appreciate one. with all the luxury cars that do the driving for us, its fun to have one that compels me to take control.. it really is like taming a horse, and i enjoyed every minute of it. the mustang is a legend for those who are willing to take a chance and love a car because it is worth so much in car history value... if u want a sports car thats for a wuss, go ahead and buy something that doesn't challenge you, a car that buzzes like a bee, a car that doesn't intimidate other drivers, a car that isn't a sports car. the V6 mustang is only a baby in the family, what about the MACH1 and the roush 380r and the bullit, and the BOSS and the GT the torque alone in any of those models would scare me where a corolla, lancer, or eclipse stops, a mustang runs. the 5.0 will always be a collector' dreams, but an eclipse with a muffler that sounds like a bee and doesn't add anything but weight.. will never meet the mustang

I just have to wonder about the comment about the car really costing you on gas... A V-6 with a manual transmission should really do well. I have a 2001 GT with the 4.6 and an automatic, and I get over 25 m.p.g on the highway. Sounds like something is wrong there.

Regarding the MPG (Miles per Gallon) - I have an '02 GT Convertible (car is heavier than Coupes and 6-cylinders), Automatic Transmission. Indeed, the MPG didn't stabilize until right about the time the car had 1500 miles on it. However, now it gets as high as 27.9 on the highway - that's with the cruise control on 65, rpm just a little over 2k, I'm the only person in the car (200 pounds), and I'm driving on relatively flat ground. I'd be suspicious of your V6's performance if you aren't getting at least 25 or so on the highway. Of course, the window sticker said it would only get 22 on the highway...

Your V6 Mustang is not a Muscle car.
