Clutch bearing at 20,000mls. Replaced under warranty.
Pulley bearing squealing 22,000mls. Replaced under warranty.
Very nice car to drive. Good upright position gives good visibility, and makes it easy to get in and out of.
Balky transmission shifter, no problem. Get Pro-5-O shifter, problem solved.
A little slow of the line and getting beat up by Z28;s. Get 4.10's, underdrive pulleys, cold air induction, Timing adjuster, ported and polished upper plenum and a decent cat back system.
Problem getting power to the ground coming out of a corner? Subframe conectors, problem solved.
My 99 GT is not the fastest on the road, but after a few minor modifications it's probably one of the loudest, because in my personal opinion it's the sound above all, not much of a speed guy.
