1999 Ford Mustang Coupe review from North America
"If I could afford to set it on fire I would"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My air conditioning leaks on the carpet and into the glove box.
The windows do not properly seal therefore water leaks into the car.
The side vent scoops are cheap. They have warped and are falling off.
Several spots of clear coat is peeling.
The paint has separated from sheet metal in hidden spots.
Most of the lights have vapor inside and are partially filled with water.
The transmission is already needing a rebuild.
The compact disk player freezes.
General comments?
The car handles well.
The car does have good performance.
The car was poorly designed.
It is an outrageous amount of money for the poor quality.
I recently bought a 2003 Chevy s-10 for my wife and I am very pleased with the quality. Maybe Ford has gone way downhill.
