2002 Ford Mustang GT review from North America
"A mid performance piece of $*%#"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine stalled, in gear and neutral (not human error).
Interior door panels rattled and emitted irritating, high pitch squeaks when sound system on, or going over rough surface.
Starter was hesitantat times, taking several tries to start vehicle.
Front window seals leaked water during a carwash.
General comments?
The GT would be a fun car to own if not for it's many flaws.
The interior was horrible. Plastic panels rattled horribly and displayed no decient fit and finish. The seats provide virtually no side support and you'll have to hold on to whatever you cannot to slide off of them during a sharp turn.
The Mach 1000 system which costs over $1000 is terrible and not worth $500. When the base is turned up more than 50% of the way, the subs sound like they will blow and provide little output. The 6 CD changer/player gets really hot and ruined a few CD's.
The interior door pannel squeeks were louder than the music played at 3/4 volume, and irritably annoying. The problem was fixed, but temporally, it returned after 50 miles, requiring fixing at every oil change.
The good thing about the Mustang is the enormous amount of aftermarket parts available.
