1989 Ford Mustang LX review from North America
"My L. X 5.0 is a good car to have if you keep up with it, and take care of it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Clutch went out at 130,000 miles.
Paint faded badly (red) had repainted.
Had to replace exhaust, including tail pipes.
Oil pan leaking.
Replaced clutch quadrant twice, second time upgraded to a billet aluminum quadrant with adj. cable (highly
recommended!)
Bad gas mileage, due too bad oxygen sensor.
General comments?
Very powerful car, accelerates quickly.
Runs a 14.8 with almost 140k on odometer, all stock motor, no mods yet.
Handles great, but terrible in rain, snow, Etc.
Can still keep up with the new one's.
