1983 Ford Mustang GL Hatchback review from North America
"A very stout, reliable, fun Mustang"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Stuck float valve in carb.
Radiator inlet had a crack, very minor.
General comments?
This car has kept running, despite years of neglect and poor use. All 50k miles that were on the car when I got it were at 25 mph or less, hence the stuck float valve. It has required little mantenance beyond the regular oil changes. With the float valve fixed, I am averaging ~20 MPG, which isn't bad for a 17 year old carbed V6 of it's size (3.8L).
I love my car! And, of course, Mustangs RULE! :0)
