"You get what you paid for"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The temperature gauge always HOT (56000 mls)! Dealer fixed it. So, they say. After a week the temperature still runs Hot! Went back to ford dealership twice and they cannot find what is wrong with the car. So, they say.

I finally brought the car to my friendly neighborhood mechanic. He found the faults are cracked cylinder head and block!!!

I could not believe that ford dealership did not find these faults!!!

I do NOT trust ANY FORD dealership!!!

I decided to take matters into my own hands and paid a local engine shop to rebuild the engine.

FORD will never see a dime from me, ever!

Bu the way, if you're wondering which Ford dealership... I live in Plano, Tx.

General comments?

The car is nice looking...that's about it.

The ride is smooth only on smooth roads, otherwise... get another pair of kidneys.

Compare to my '87 Mustang GT this car is about the same in performance and handling. I prefer the '87 GT anytime!

If you must have an american muscle car I suggest buying a corvette! As the old saying goes, "You get what you paid for."

The Cobra is a much more refined car with 105 more H.P. than an 87' GT.

Clearly the reviewer doesn't own a Cobra if they're comparing the performance to an '87 Mustang GT. Even the earlier non terminator 00-01 Cobras are "tear your face off" muscle cars. They deliver blistering performance. Looks are NOT the only good thing about them. In fact, the looks don't do the performance justice.
