2000 Ford Mustang GT review from North America
"I did love the car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The clutch had to be replaced 3 times in the 2 years that I owned it. The first time I accepted it because I bought it used, the second time pissed me off, and the third time I felt I had no choice, but to trade it in on another car.
The paint didn't seem to be the highest caliber and required more waxing and polishing than other cars (even fords) that I have owned.
Oddly enough the front tires seemed to wear harder than the rear ones.
The rear brake caliper pins rusted and seized and I had to replace the caliper bracket and the rotors on the rear.
General comments?
I did love the car despite its problems, clutches being the main one.
It was a great driving car and made long trips fun.
The car looked great and I always was complimented on it.
It could grip a corner hard and accelerate with enough grunt to put a smile on your face.
I traded it in on a new civic to alleviate the maintenance costs.
I could never hate the mustang no matter what it put me through.
