It is not responsive enough in terms of acceleration to justify a 1800 size engine.
Watch out for rust on the rear arches.
I have a 1992 ford orion 1.8 lxi, love it,, but yeah the acceleration is a little sluggish,, and the rear wheel arches, need a lot of attension other than that,, it's a fantastic,car,, but I don't find it un economical, its pretty good good on fuel,, and other bits,, Love it.
