1984 Ford Orion GL review from UK and Ireland

My breaks have been renewed about 3 times

i have had 1 new exhaust system fitted 2 years ago.

I paid £250.00 for my old orion almost 6 years ago and have never broken down.

I have used my breakdown just once in this time for a punctured tyre as my spare was flat.

The car is heavy, but its something I've grown used to and can't drive anything else YUK...

It is completely standard, but one night out with the lads who called her an old banger upset me so I gave my old beast some stick.

My car managed 50 in first gear and was doing 90 by gear 3.

In my opinion I could clock my car and see off most stupid boy racers.

I love my old car so much that as I speak I am in the middle of a complete restoration of my baby.

The engine although still running was a little noisy and has been replaced with a later model.

The body is original and I have kept on top of any little rust that has appeared.

The engine bay and new engine have been fully painted in original colors and my car is coming on a treat.

I am the only guy at work with the same old car and have seen my friends waist thousands of pounds on different cars that fail to stick around as mine does.

Ofcourse the interior is a little tatty, but is very comfortable.

How many new cars could guarantee 6 years of trouble free service???

20 years old and still going strong.
