1987 Ford Orion Ghia review from UK and Ireland
"Nice car if willing to spend a little on bodykit"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Starter motor solenoid (bad connection).
Alternator not charging.
Clutch (general wear).
Battery.
Air box.
Tapping from the top of the engine.
Head gasket (just gone, driven too hard).
Bad starter.
Exhaust mid section snapped and scraping.
General comments?
Smooth car, looks the bees knees with RS body kit, RS alloys, RS bonnet, RS spoiler, uprated interior, white dials etc.. Big Bore 2 exhaust sounds more gutsy than it is, RS alloys 15"
could be bigger, for fast road use uprated suspension would be necessary, standard air filter changed to Jetex performance filter, but to no advantage, original air box refitted. Steering responsive and the car rides OK if a little bouncy at high speed.... 120mph+ easy...
