1972 Ford Pinto review from North America
"Great with the new motor"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine died. Dead. Didn't know why, didn't care. Transplanted a stock 289 V8 and C4 automatic into it.
General comments?
Transplant was fairly straight forward. Nothing that a wee bit 'o hammering couldn't fix. Absolutely stunning performance. In a straight line. Curves could be iffy at speed. But it was certainly a boulevard screamer. I still miss it. Nice little lozenge.
