1993 Ford Probe SE review from North America
"Sleek Quick car for the dollar.."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well, so far nothing major has gone wrong. When I bought it I was getting myself into a couple things however.
The second day I had the car, I replaced the two front brake pads myself just because I only like ceramic pads and this car had the stock ones still intact on it.
Right now I have a small leak in my exhaust. No big deal though, I kinda like the go-kart sound it makes.
The driver side dome light decides when to and not to work.
I replaced all the speakers to make things sound better than the stock ford. Nothing was wrong with them however.
Battery meter dims slightly when I have the system going. This is only the result of running 2400 Watts directly to the battery. Going to fix that shortly.
Shift boot died a little while ago. Needs some stitches.
General comments?
GREAT CAR!!! The most reliable car I've owned yet and with a couple tweaks, one of the fastest. The lumbar control on the driver seat is great and entertaining when you're stuck in traffic. Very fast car. Automatic trans shouldn't be an option on this car. Its not the same without the stick shift. I've driven both. Still not as fast as my ALL WHEEL DRIVE Eclipse, but I'll have it up there by the end of the summer.
