1995 Ford Probe GT review from North America
"Best bang for your dollar...period"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
- Spark plugs (not really a problem)
- Spark plug wiring - Replaced with far superior NGK wiring.
- Oil pump pressure switch.
- Small hole in back of exhaust... not going to fix just yet... I can finally hear the darn thing!
- Fixed small tear in drivers seat bolster
- (Preventive Maintenance) Flushed tranny with fully synthetic fluid which doesn't have to be changed for 80,000 kms : D.
General comments?
This vehicle is outstanding in its performance for dollar value. It's undeniably reliable and has such a magnificent engine whine that the only car to compare sounds with is the Infiniti G35. Great fuel mileage (I always put Chevron 94 octane) - to get best performance and cleanest results at air care... Somewhat annoying and lazy automatic transmission, however once you get used to it, its perfectly fine. Amazing braking performance and fabulous anti-lock system. Handles better than my father's BMW 540. Very nible and hard to get into trouble with. Outstanding first car... too surprising though is the depreciation... Mainly because it's a Mazda badged Fore hee hee^.^...If you want to be surprised.. go look at a low mileage well maintained probe like mine :) you will definitly not regret it.
