Intermittent wipers erratic operation at times.
Door open chimes slow to cancel when door shut.
I bought it new in 1995. It has 216,850 miles on it.
Besides routine maintenance items, the truck is all original. The only non-maintenance items replaced are a heater control valve (about $15.00), a small solenoid (about $38.00) that allows gas vapors to be induced into the intake manifold, and the belt tension pulley (about $45.00) That's it! The truck is in near showroom condition and does not leak or drip any fluid on my painted garage floor. It has withstood the test of time and mileage. OUTSTANDING!!
Would I buy another Ford truck? Like the Chevy boys say "In a heartbeat!"
UPDATE!!!
At 226,400 miles the pilot bushing in the end of the crankshaft wore out (I hardly expected trouble so soon), and it messed up the input shaft on the manual transmission. The origional clutch STILL had 20% material left on the disk face! The rest of the trannie was OK, but repairing it would be a hassle, so I opted for a rebuilt trannie and new clutch parts. The rest of the vechicle still going strong.
