2001 Ford Ranger Regular review from North America
"It's nice but it's a pain"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
At times it will just give out and will not start up again.
Gas gauge does work but it's a bit off.
It's weak going uphills.
A lot of wind noise at higher speeds.
Alternator was bad with a bad pulley but that got fixed.
Noisy engine.
General comments?
I don't know if the fuel pump is bad which maybe why it stalls and does not start back up at times. I did change the timing belt and gave it a tune up but that did not help it. I will check the pressure before replacing the fuel pump. When it gives out it takes over a half hour to 45 minutes before I can get it to turn back over. This is starting to get me aggravated.
