2003 Ford Ranger Edge review from North America
"If Ford continues to make this truck, I would suggest motor option and quality workmanship is a must"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Delaminated rear break shoes.
Worn out brake drums.
Replaced front break shoes and calipers.
Replaced left and right E-brake cables.
Collapsed front left wheel bearing.
Replaced fuel pump.
Severe engine hesitation, during winter commutes,
very loud engine clunks, Ford Service Departments seem to have no idea what causes this problem.
Poor fuel economy (MAX 20MPG on highway, 14MPG city.
Very disappointed in the mileage for a small pickup.
General comments?
Very good handling, but feel very worried, when driving on long trips, due to the engine problems.
Feel my 88' Ford Ranger with 2.9L V6 was much more responsive, and fuel efficient, compared to the 4L V6.
