1993 Ford Ranger XLT Super Cab review from North America
"A dependable little truck with a can-do attitude"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I had the check engine light come on after driving through deep puddles (expected), my steering gear is leaking (needs seal), slave cylinder was replaced by the original owner at 70,000 and then by me at 140,000 (do you see a pattern?).
That's about it, oh, and I replaced all U-Joints in the front axles because they were popping in 4 wheel drive. I have been very pleased with it's durability knowing that I off-road.
General comments?
I have not upgraded the tired 160,000 mile engine because I will probably replace it after it takes a dump.
I have put on a 4 inch suspension lift that added great comfort to the bumpy handling (I replaced the stock radius arms with 15" longer arms for good handling and new rear springs in the back to avoid adding blocks). All I need now is a girlfriend to enjoy the ride with :)
