In 204,000 Miles I have replaced the brakes (twice), the shocks (once), muffler (twice)with tailpipe,and I am on my third set of tires.
The paint has peeled of the roof of the cab, and most of the hood.
I have been changing the oil and filter each 3 to 4 thousand miles. I add only one quart between changes. However it is beginning to get tired. It still has the original clutch. But the clutch may be the next thing I have to replace. I have no idea how far or how long the Ranger will go.
I've had an '88 Ranger six years now. The truck had 54000 miles
when I bought.I've done nothing, but routine maintenance,and
the truck has 212,000 miles. Its been a great cheap truck.
