Dome light stays on after engine is turned off.
I love my Ford Ranger. It has 140,000 miles on it and it still runs like a champ. I plan on driving from Texas to Washington without any problems. I also very easy to do your own oil changes since it sits high and the oil filter is easy to get to.
Ah, the dreaded dome light issue. I have the fix! Pull the lock assembly out of the drivers door. You will find two small switches on the assembly. Unplug the switches and remove them. It looks like like a BB on the end of the switch. Turn it and pull it out a bit and lube it with penetrating oil until it moves freely. Reinstall the switch on the assembly and install your lock. Mine has worked for a long time since I fixed it. Good luck.
