1988 Ford Ranger stx review from North America
"I hope I have it for another 18 years"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have a 1988 Ford Ranger Stx I rebuilt the engine after 160,000 miles (15,000 miles ago) and added a 3 in. body-lift, 32x12.5 pro comp tires, all new brakes and lines, radiator, water pump.. and so on...
The only problems I had was the cam was so worn out at 160,000 miles that I couldn't adjust the timing enough for it to run correct, and the rear shock mounts broke so I fabricated my own.
Now she runs like a charm and loves chewing and screwing through the mud holes.
General comments?
I love my 88 Stx ranger awsome on and off road, loves the mud. this truck is so nice in trails because of the short wheelbase its incredible.
Interior is small and crowded.
