1994 Ford Ranger XLT review from North America
"Really reliable and good on gas"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Air Conditioner 106,000 miles.
Fuel Pump went out at 115,000 a week after I purchased the truck.
Rear Sliding Window latch broke off at 96,000.
Wheels are badly rusted out.
Small rust spot at passeger side back fender.
HEAt shield on CAtalyic converter rattles.
Brakes lockup really wasily afer the truck has been sitting for more than an hour, but goes away quickly.
General comments?
I love my truck. extremely reliable and would recommend the 3.0 to anyone. It's a little slow off the line, but quickly gains up speed. Burnouts on dry pavement is impossible. I get about 20mpg on average, but could get better if I didn't speed and do burnouts all the time. Interior is ugly, but seats are comfortable and a new cd player would be nice.
