Excellent Car, Value for money.
Right!.The car is exelent to drive everywhere and works pritty good. The only bad thing is the automatic transmission who is deleting many of these Scorpios. One way to spare the transmission is that when you drive in town chose the 3 gear link and not the D drive. Out on the high way in high speed the D drive works great and only there. Do not blame the gear box everytime when it sometimes is the transistor to the 3/4 chose who is not working properly. On later models the 1,2,3 gear is changing trough the engine, but in the 4 or overdrive the gear is controled by this 3/4 transistor both up and down!.There is not any oil plug at the automatic transmission who is realy strange!?.But if you change the oil sometimes it will continue working. Either you unscrew the whole bottom cap on the gear box or either you get some good sucking tool and change the oil trough the top of the engine.Pelle.
