1989 Ford Sierra review from United Arab Emirates
"Reliable, powerful, it has character"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The sierra needed a new alternator, clutch, petrol pump and quite a few more things. I must say it does sound a lot. But the reason it needed new parts was because they were obviously wearing out. It was only in 1998 where we had to replace these parts for the first time, mind you.
The wear and tear parts, like the tyres, windscreeen wipers, seats have worn out. They all had to be replaced!!
General comments?
The Ford Sierra is a very reliable car, it just goes on and on. Still to this day you can see Ford Sierra around.
When it first came out, many sales representatives used it on the motorway. It is definately a motorway car. It still handles the motorway confidently. It drives smoothly. It is a safe car to be in.
The car may not be quick on acceleration anymore, it may not look falsh, or have electronic elements. But it is still reliable.
