"Good car shame about the image!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Battery tray had rotted away.
Sills replaced recently.
3 new doors.
Axle replaced.
Prop shaft replaced.
Floor needed welding.
Rear wheel arches very rusted.
Wiring loom touched the exhaust manifold and burnt in half
reconditioned engine put in after 140,000 miles still running great
brake servo developed a hole
new exhaust full system
cracked manifold.
General comments?
Very easy to work on and maintain!
I just wish sierras were still the "in" cars to have I like almost everything about these cars.
It is very hard to find a rear wheel drive car these days that don't cost a bomb like the BMW's etc
the driving position is very good and I have put the lx interior in mine and the seats can't be faulted on long journeys.
I have had a few scary moments in mine on wet roundabouts driving a little too fast the rear end tends to have very little traction in bad conditions. but on dry country roads the car feels very well balancd and grippy! I have had a few boy racers supprised how well it handles (in the dry) for such a big car.
The car is very versatile and with the seats down provides a lot of space. I must admit I have thrown a lot of abuse at this car and it seems unburstable!!
