1992 Ford Sierra LX 5 door review from UK and Ireland
"Should never have sold my last one!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Loose carburettor at manifold
Idle speed was too high
Compliance bushes worn out
Squeak from speedo cable
creak from passenger seat.
General comments?
I have only had the car for a few weeks, but this is my 3rd sierra. And like the other two, this one carries on with the tradition of quiet, comfortable and reasonably economical cruising. The CVH engine is quite gutsy for its size, but boy is the steering heavy. The handling is best described as OK, like the clich`e goes " built for comfort not for speed". A far far superior car to the Mondeo in my view. Easy to own easy to fix.
