Developed a hot start problem. Diagnosed as the Thermotime switch.

I bought this in March 2003 from a friend in work.
It's an original Tickford Turbo, but did require some engine work.
I had the block re-bored and had new Pistons and Conrods fitted.
Both heads were re-conditioned and brought up to Stage 3.
I fitted a fast road camshaft and have uprated the oil & fuel pumps.
I have just had it tested on the rolling road and is producing 420BHP.
It has stiffened, uprated suspension and is rather bumpy although it's glued to the road in the rain.
They didn't make a tickford turbo xr4x4 that was the capri, unless you mean a turbo technics fourby, but even the full monty TT 4x4 only did 230 bhp (2.8) or 280bhp (2.9) not 420bhp!!!
Forgive me for being skeptical, but get your facts right mate.
I am inclined to agree, the 4x4 transmission was already pretty much on the limit with the standard V6.
