1991 Ford Sierra Chasseur review from UK and Ireland
"Better companion than any dog"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Digital clock broke.
General comments?
Just like all my past Ford's totally reliable and trust worthy. Considering the cars worn front bushes, age and size handling is very good. However I have changed the front bushes for a set of Polyurethane ones which I find far superior to the standard equipment
Economy is also very good reaching figures of almost 40mpg from its carb fed compound valve angle hemispherical chamber engine and with over two hundred thousand miles the transmission is as smooth as silk and like new. All I do to the car is basic servicing cost being very minimal due to its age.
I also find the car performs just as it was designed with plenty of power for towing and ample speed for any family car.
After paying £265 for the car that I drive far and hard I can't see why people pay thousands for newer cars.
