1992 Ford Sierra GT review from Portugal
"Very good"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing has ever gone wrong with this car except the water temperature gauge and even that, very recently.
General comments?
My father bought this car in 1992 and I own it since 2001. The car is robust and reliable. All You need is to give it petrol and change motor oil, filtres and tyres from time to time.
Very low petrol consumption (7/8 litres per 100 km on the road, 10 to 15 in town) for it's engine due to a very long gearbox. A good choice if You live in the country. Less good if You live in a city centre.
Performance is not excellent due the the same reason as the low petrol consumption: Long gearbox ratios. Very fun to drive, that rear traction although loveable can be a bit tricky if You are a woman. You ether love it or You don't.
This car is at its best on a freeway.
